Roger Broders made this poster around 1928 to promote Vichy, the French spa town. It shows golfers on a green high above the river, with the caption "VICHY La Grande Station Thermale" announcing the town as a thermal resort. It belongs to a series of advertising posters for the railway company Chemins de fer de Paris à Lyon et à la Méditerranée (PLM). Broders was best known for travel posters of French destinations, and this one pairs a sporting leisure scene with a clear, confident piece of lettering.
On your wall: It would suit a study, hallway or sitting room, especially where a sporting or travel theme is welcome, and it pairs well with other vintage posters.
