This colour lithograph poster by Henri Privat-Livemont shows a red-haired woman set within stylised waves. Behind her, the heads of bathers appear in the water, and a hotel stands along the seafront. The lettering reads 'Cabourg à 5 heures de Paris', presenting the seaside town as an easy journey from the capital. The artist's signature is visible on the sheet. Privat-Livemont was a Belgian painter and Art Nouveau decorator, and the flowing, decorative treatment of the waves and figure suits that tradition.
On your wall: Its sea-and-seaside subject and warm red hair suit living rooms, hallways, studies and bedrooms, especially where a vintage travel-poster look is wanted.
