Emil Cardinaux, 1921
A 1921 hotel poster for the Palace Hotel in St. Moritz, with golfers and Alpine scenery, by Emil Cardinaux.
No VAT charged. Free delivery in Switzerland from CHF 99. Delivery details
Emil Cardinaux made this poster in 1921 to advertise the Palace Hotel in St. Moritz. It is a colour lithograph, measuring 1275 by 900 millimetres, and was produced by Wolfsberg in Zürich. The subject places golfers within an Alpine setting, linking the hotel with leisure and the mountain landscape of the Engadin resort. Today it sits among the Swiss tourism posters of the early 1920s, and it shows how St. Moritz and its grand hotel were presented to travellers of the time.
