Poppy Field is a landscape painted by Gustav Klimt in 1907, in oil on canvas. Its subject is poppies, which fill the picture as a meadow in bloom. Klimt is best known for figure paintings such as The Kiss, yet he also painted landscapes, and this is one of them. Today the work belongs to the Belvedere collection in Vienna, where it is also kept.
On your wall: With its poppy meadow and lively landscape subject, it brings a fresh, natural note to living rooms, hallways and bedrooms, especially in modern interiors.

Gustav Klimt was an Austrian symbolist painter and a founding member of the Vienna Secession. His work helped shape Art Nouveau in Europe. He made paintings, murals and sketches, centred mainly on the female body with a frank eroticism, and also painted landscapes. Among his best-known works are The Kiss and Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I.
