The Holland Park carpet is a textile designed by William Morris, the English designer, poet and writer who played a large part in reviving traditional British textile arts and methods of production. It was made in Britain, at either Merton Abbey or Hammersmith, and belongs to the group of carpets Morris designed that are now held in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Morris's work in textiles sits at the heart of the British Arts and Crafts movement, and this carpet offers a chance to look closely at that tradition in a piece made for the floor.
On your wall: Its pattern-led, textile character suits living rooms, studies and hallways where you want a traditional, crafted feel on the wall.
