Läufer am Ziel, or 'Runner at the Finish', was painted by Paul Klee in 1921. It is counted among his abstract paintings and is held in the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. Klee was a Swiss-born German artist whose individual style drew on expressionism, cubism and surrealism. The title points to the moment a runner reaches the end of a race, and invites you to find that sense of arrival in the work in your own way.
On your wall: Its abstract character suits a study, living room or hallway where a modern, thoughtful piece is wanted, especially alongside plain walls and simple furnishings.

Paul Klee was a Swiss-born German artist whose style was entirely his own. Over his career he drew on several movements, including expressionism, cubism and surrealism, and blended these influences into work that remains unmistakably his. For a Swiss customer, there is something pleasing in seeing a compatriot's imagination so distinctively at play.
