About this artwork

Champenois Calendar dates from 1898, when Alphonse Mucha was living in Paris and working at the height of the Art Nouveau period. The Czech painter, illustrator and graphic artist was widely known for his distinctly stylised, decorative designs, including theatrical posters, advertisements and decorative panels. Many of these became among the best-known images of the era. As a calendar, this work belongs to the same world of decorative graphic design, and it suits anyone drawn to the look of vintage posters.

On your wall: A fine choice for a living room, study or hallway where a vintage poster adds decorative character, particularly in homes that favour retro or period-inspired styling.
