This lithograph dates from 1894 and belongs to the group of posters Mucha produced for Job. It sits in the Art Nouveau tradition, in which Mucha worked while living in Paris, and it features a woman, a subject he returned to often. Mucha was admired for his stylised, decorative posters, and his advertisements and decorative panels became some of the most recognisable images of the period. Prints from this series are held in the National Gallery of Australia.
On your wall: Its decorative, period character suits a living room, study or hallway, especially where vintage posters and other graphic prints are already part of the scheme.
