This is Alphonse Mucha's "Bridges, C05", a graphic work by the Czech painter, illustrator and graphic artist. Mucha lived in Paris during the Art Nouveau period and became widely known for his stylised, decorative posters, especially those made for Sarah Bernhardt. His illustrations, advertisements and decorative panels count among the best-known images of the era. This piece sits within that body of graphic work and is associated with his poster designs and his Art Nouveau portrayals of women.
On your wall: It suits a study, hallway or sitting room where a vintage poster look adds character, and it pairs well with other period-inspired prints.
