About this artwork

Giovanni Segantini painted "Auf dem Balkon" in 1892. The title points to a scene set on a balcony, and the work is held in Swiss public collections, including the Bündner Kunstmuseum and the Gottfried Keller Foundation. Segantini was known for his large pastoral landscapes of the Alps, and in his later years he combined a Divisionist style with Symbolist images of nature. He worked first in Italy and then in Switzerland during the last period of his life.

On your wall: A fitting choice for a living room, study or quiet hallway, especially where a calm, nature-minded painting is wanted.
