This is a poster from 1904 by Koloman Moser, an Austrian artist who was among the leading figures of the Vienna Secession and a co-founder of the Wiener Werkstätte. It is a lithograph in the Art Nouveau manner, and a woman is its subject, as is typical of the style. The print is linked to the printing company Albert Berger and to Jacob & Josef Kohn. Moser had considerable influence on twentieth-century graphic art, and this poster shows the sort of decorative design that earned him that reputation.
On your wall: Its period poster character suits a study, hallway or living room where vintage graphics and a touch of early twentieth-century design are welcome.
