About this artwork

This is a small advertising poster from 1920 for Riquetta, a brand of eating chocolate, made by Ludwig Hohlwein. It measures 29.5 by 21.5 centimetres, and its title promises something delicious, which is exactly what the poster was meant to convey. It belongs to a group of German chocolate advertisements and is connected with the firm Riquet & Co. Hohlwein was a German poster artist and a pioneer of the Sachplakat style, having worked as an architect in Munich before turning to poster design.

On your wall: It would suit a kitchen, a dining area or a café-style corner, and works well in any room where vintage advertising adds a touch of character.
