About this artwork

Julius Klinger made this poster in 1911 as a lithograph on paper. He was an Austrian artist who worked as a painter, draughtsman, illustrator, commercial graphic artist, typographer and writer, and he trained at the Technologisches Gewerbemuseum in Vienna. That mix of skills suits a poster, where lettering and image have to work together. The title gives the names Hermanns & Froitzheim. The original is held in the Poster Museum at Wilanów.

On your wall: It would suit a study, studio, hallway or living space where a vintage poster adds graphic character, particularly alongside other retro prints or simple, modern furnishings.
