About this artwork

Roger Broders made this poster in 1930 to promote tourism on the Côte d'Azur, and its title points to the mountains behind the coast. It was produced as a colour lithograph and measures 100 by 62 centimetres. The French text names an edition for the Côte d'Azur and Corsica. Broders was a French illustrator, best known for travel posters advertising French destinations, from fashionable beaches on the Riviera to ski resorts in the Alps. This work belongs to that tradition of tourism advertising from the early twentieth century.

On your wall: It would suit a living room, hallway or study where a vintage travel poster adds character, particularly in homes with a taste for French design and holiday memories.
