This is Confetti, made by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec in 1894. The title points to celebration, and Toulouse-Lautrec is known for work shaped by the colourful, theatrical world of Belle Époque Paris. He was a painter, printmaker, draughtsman, caricaturist and illustrator, and he often turned that lively city life into popular art. Shown here in a retro, vintage poster style, the piece suits anyone who enjoys the look of late nineteenth-century French graphic work.
