No VAT charged. Free delivery in Switzerland from CHF 99. Delivery details
Franz Marc painted this landscape in 1914, placing livestock at its centre. It is an oil painting on canvas and belongs to the Expressionist movement, of which Marc was a key figure in Germany. He was also a founding member of Der Blaue Reiter. The work is now in the collection of the Detroit Institute of Arts. Animals and their surroundings are the heart of the picture, inviting you to look at how creatures and land sit together.
On your wall: Its animal subject and landscape setting suit a living room, study or hallway where a modern, abstract-leaning piece can bring a sense of nature indoors.

Franz Marc was a German painter and printmaker, counted among the key figures of German Expressionism. He was a founding member of Der Blaue Reiter, a journal whose name came to describe the wider circle of artists who worked together around it. His place in that movement is central to how he is remembered.
