Roger Broders made this poster in 1930 to promote travel to the Ballon of Guebwiller and the Lauch Lake in Alsace. Tall pines frame the scene, with the lake in the middle and a mountain rising behind. It was produced for the Alsace-Lorraine railways as tourism advertising and printed in Paris by Lucien Serre et Cie. Broders is best known for his travel posters of French destinations, and this one turns to the lakes and wooded slopes of the Vosges.
On your wall: Its lake, pines and mountain view suit a hallway, study or living room, especially where vintage travel posters or a calm, outdoorsy mood are already part of the style.
