This is a 1911 advertising poster for Manoli cigarettes, designed by Hans Rudi Erdt and produced by the printers Hollerbaum & Schmidt. Erdt was a German graphic designer and lithographer, and one of the leading figures in German poster art between 1906 and 1918. He worked in the Sachplakat tradition associated with Lucian Bernhard, in which the product is presented plainly and clearly, and he was admired for his inventive handling of lettering. The poster is a good example of how commercial design of the period could be both practical and carefully considered.
On your wall: It suits a study, den, hallway or kitchen, and sits well in any space where a piece of early twentieth-century graphic design would add character.
