A Korean landscape of streams and mountains, painted in ink and colour on paper from the Joseon dynasty.
No VAT charged. Free delivery in Switzerland from CHF 99. Delivery details
This painting comes from Korea's Joseon dynasty and dates to the late 1700s or early 1800s. It was made in ink and colour on paper, with a silk border around the edge. Its title points to a view of flowing streams and mountains. It belongs to a tradition that began in Korea in the 1700s, in which artists painted real places and recorded their topography, drawing on their own observation. This approach is known as True-view landscape painting.
On your wall: Its mountain and water subject suits a calm study, living room or hallway, especially where you want a quiet, natural note on the wall.
