About this artwork

Plinio Colombi painted this spring landscape in 1903, working in oil on canvas. The view rises over a hillside where white blossom covers the fruit trees and dandelions dot the ground. Beyond it lies an alpine lake, and snowy mountains close the scene in the distance. The picture sets the freshness of the new season against the cool, lasting white of the high peaks. It is a Swiss landscape, and it is now held in the Aargauer Kunsthaus.

On your wall: Its fresh whites, greens and lake blues suit bright living rooms, hallways and bedrooms, and would sit well in a country-style or retro-inspired interior.
