Blumenstillleben, which translates as flower still life, was painted by Paul Signac in 1920. It is a watercolour, a medium Signac returned to throughout his career. Signac was a French painter who worked with Georges Seurat to develop Pointillism, and he is closely linked with Neo-Impressionism. The title tells us the subject is flowers, so you can expect a composed arrangement of blooms rather than a landscape or a figure.
On your wall: A flower still life like this suits living rooms, dining areas, hallways and bedrooms, where a floral subject adds a gentle, natural touch.

Paul Signac was a French painter associated with Neo-Impressionism. Working alongside Georges Seurat, he helped develop Pointillism, a technique in which a picture is built from small, separate touches of colour. His name is closely linked with that approach, and it remains the reason his work is so often discussed today.
