Francis Frith
Francis Frith was an English photographer and businessman. In 1860 he founded Francis Frith & Co., setting out to photograph every town and village in England. The firm grew rapidly into the largest photographic publisher in the world, building a collection of 330,000 negatives covering more than 7,000 places across Great Britain and Ireland.
